Kirsty Robertson: Ancient Roman mosaics at Musée de l'Arles Antique. I loved this museum and considered it an important part of my trip to Arles. But I also included this image because of how accepting we are of partial or degraded artworks if the patina of time gives their partiality a legitimacy. Could we apply this kind of thinking to all artworks?
